The Amador County Board of Supervisors meeting was held October 6, 2026. The board approved, on a one-year trial basis, revised airport fees and guidelines for pilots staging vehicles at Amador County Airport. The proposed annual fee is $400, compared with the existing monthly rate of $64.34; staff said the change is intended to encourage airport visitors to spend money locally. The motion passed unanimously. No contract awards, RFPs, vendor selections, or capital project approvals were identified. During public comment, residents raised concerns about the Vista biomass plant’s permit conditions and requested a moratorium; the board took no action on that request.

The board received the 2025 annual crop report, including discussion of declining wine-grape production, agricultural pressures, and invasive pests, and heard a rabies-awareness presentation. It also adopted resolutions recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month and honoring airport manager Dave Shepard for 27 years of service. The board approved the amended agenda and consent agenda and approved the September 22 meeting minutes with corrections. No other procurement activity was identified.
