The City of West Bend Plan Commission met October 6, 2026. It approved minutes from its September meetings and considered land-use and development applications. A comprehensive-plan amendment and related zoning change for about 17.2 acres at Sand Drive and South River Road, requested to allow two-family condominium development, were not approved: the plan amendment vote resulted in a 3–3 tie, after which the applicant requested that both items be tabled. Residents raised traffic and pedestrian-safety concerns; staff said a traffic impact analysis would be required during later subdivision review.

The commission approved a conditional use permit and site plan for Oil Works’ recycled-petroleum-oil transloading and storage operation at 1095 East Rusco Drive. The site plan includes tanks with a stated capacity of 630,000 gallons and replacement LED lighting; the proposed operation would handle about one to four truck deliveries daily, with phase two requiring a DNR permit. The commission also approved a site plan to convert 605 Rivershores Drive into 24 apartments, approved a certified survey map for a Server Products headquarters site, and directed staff to schedule a public hearing on downtown comprehensive-plan updates. No contract awards, procurement decisions, or specific spending allocations were identified.
