The Oldham County Fiscal Court meeting, held October 6, 2026, approved several purchasing and contracting actions. It awarded Louisville Paving the recycling-center pavement reconstruction project for $156,000 and approved Morton Salt’s winter salt bid at $110.76 per ton for 3,000 tons. The court also approved a 24-month county phone-system extension at approximately $1,658.77 per month, below the prior monthly cost of about $2,600. It authorized the dispatch director to apply for a Kentucky 911 Services Board grant toward a proposed radio-console upgrade estimated at roughly $1.019 million; the anticipated grant contribution was about $150,000–$160,000, and no equipment purchase was approved at this meeting. The court also approved adding Tony Records to the county’s large-wrecker list and released erosion-control sureties for three completed projects.

The court approved zoning text amendment KOC 26-920-38 for data-center regulations by an 8–1 vote. The approved changes included a 10-megawatt cap, a 110,000-square-foot limit for the medium category, removal of the large and hyperscale categories, and expanded notification requirements. The discussion noted that the rules may constrain future data-center development and that the regulations may need continued review as technology and development conditions change.
