The City of Norwalk’s Urban Core Neighborhood Reconnecting Planning Project kickoff meeting was held October 6, 2026. City staff introduced a U.S. Department of Transportation Neighborhood Access and Equity Program-funded planning effort, developed collaboratively by the city’s Redevelopment Agency and Transportation, Mobility and Parking Department, with consultant IMG supporting the work. The project will examine how I-95 divided the urban core and develop conceptual street and mobility plans for the corridor.
