The City of Avondale, Arizona, regular City Council meeting on October 5, 2026, included presentations on the upcoming general election, student recognition, and breast cancer and domestic violence awareness. The election presentation noted that Proposition 418, a public safety bond measure, would appear on the November general election ballot; no related spending action was taken at this meeting.

Council adopted the 2026 Integrated Utility Master Plan (IUMP) by a 6–0 vote through Resolution 1068-1026. Prepared with consultant Carillo Engineers, the plan identifies water and wastewater infrastructure needs and recommended capital improvement projects for five-year, 10-year, and build-out horizons. Adoption does not authorize or commit funding: projects will be considered through the City’s standard budget process. Staff highlighted priorities including increasing water production capacity, gravity sewer main improvements, and completing the ongoing wastewater treatment plant expansion, whose costs are tracked separately. Future PFAS treatment infrastructure is also being handled through separate efforts and is not included in this IUMP.
