The Finance, Budget & Personnel Committee of Marshfield met on October 6, 2026. It recommended council approval of the 2027 exercise of options for the shared-ride taxi service operating contract and the related federal Section 5311 and Wisconsin 85.20 grant agreements and assurances. The existing provider is Running Incorporated, doing business as Marshfield Public Transit; the current contract followed a 2023 bid solicitation and was approved in December 2024. The committee also approved a request to apply for a FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant to replace firefighting air packs and related equipment. The proposed grant request is about $500,000, with a 5% local match—approximately $25,000 if the full request is awarded. The grant could reduce the city’s equipment costs; approval was to apply, not an award of grant funds. The equipment discussed included 39 air packs and 78 bottles, among other items.
