The Marshfield Board of Public Works meeting was held October 6, 2026. The Board approved a $62,652.70 purchase of Kraftco Road Saver crack sealant and pavement repair mastic directly from Sherwin Industries, after a quote through Sourcewell was nearly $87,000. The purchase will be charged to the highway and street maintenance budget and is subject to Common Council approval. The Board also approved soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms for the 2026 citywide traffic modeling and analysis project, covering 32 intersections. The project has a budgeted cost of $120,000, including $96,000 in Wisconsin Department of Transportation carbon-reduction funding and a $24,000 city share; no consultant was selected at this meeting.

Staff reported that rehabilitation of the Northeast Pump Station is substantially complete. Unforeseen work increased the original contract by 7.8%, but the project remains within its 15% contingency and was funded through sewer user fees; the presentation required no Board action. The Board also discussed a possible change to the time of its October 20 meeting.
