The Stonecrest Planning Commission meeting on October 6, 2026, considered one land-use application and identified no procurement activity, contract awards, or government spending decisions. The commission heard ZM26-00002, a request to modify conditions on the previously approved residential development at 1455 Rogers Lake Road, a roughly 14.79-acre site approved for up to 62 detached single-family homes. The applicant sought flexibility in the buffer and house-design requirements and reduced front and side setbacks; the applicant said the homes were expected to be priced in the high $300,000s to low $400,000s. Commissioners and the public raised questions about buffers and fencing, sidewalks, traffic and access, drainage and erosion, parking, home sizes, and construction timing.
After the public hearing, Commissioner Williams moved to recommend approval with staff’s conditions, and the motion was seconded and approved unanimously. The conditions preserve the buffer’s function even where it falls within individual lots, set requirements for architectural variation, require the revised site plan to meet applicable city and county codes before permits, and retain the other previously approved conditions. The recommendation will go to the City Council; the commission did not make a final development approval. The commission also unanimously approved the agenda and corrected July 7, 2026 minutes, and adjourned.
