Local gas tax and motor fuel tax are expected to fund 85–90% of project expenditures, with approximately $7–10 million in federal funding annually. The committee discussed accelerating the planned St. Charles Road project in Carol Stream due to pedestrian safety concerns; staff said phase 1 consultant selection was underway, with a contract expected to come before the committee around December or January, and agreed to investigate feasible interim shoulder improvements. No vote on changing the project schedule or approving interim work was recorded.
