The City of Nisswa Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment met on October 6, 2026, and held public hearings on two land-use applications. The board approved variance application 021-26 for Eric and Dena Flam to deviate from the Fawn Lake setback for an addition to an existing residence at 26314 Padre Place, subject to the city’s stated conditions and findings. It also recommended approval of interim use permit application 022-26 for an indoor pickleball business and pro shop in the former Roundhouse Brewery building; the proposal involves interior renovations and is to proceed to the City Council.

Staff reported issuing 16 permits in the preceding 30 days, including permits for driveways, signs, residential additions, septic work, sewer connections, and shoreline alterations, and noted that development activity remained high. Staff also plans to bring potential zoning-ordinance revision topics to the board in November. No procurement activity, contract awards, or spending decisions were identified.
