Lewis and Clark County Commission Public Meeting 10-6-26

The Lewis and Clark County Commission public meeting on October 6, 2026, approved a Montana Disaster and Emergency Services FY2026 Homeland Security Grant application seeking $135,000, with no local match, to purchase and install five generators at county public works facilities and district shops. The application passed unanimously. Commissioners also unanimously approved a no-cost agreement with Title One to digitize the county’s historical aperture-card records; the county retains the records, and Title One may use copies only for its internal title-business purposes. Staff said legal counsel had reviewed the agreement. A records disposal request was approved 2–0.

The commission unanimously approved a $318,481 amendment to the WIC services award, extending the grant through September 30, 2027, and a separate $65,799 Public Health grant for services including fetal, infant, child, and maternal mortality review. The latter has a required match that staff said was budgeted. No competitive bid, paid contract award, or vendor selection was reported.
