The Chula Vista Elementary School District held a Cook School modernization community meeting on October 8, 2026, to present design, phasing, safety, and schedule updates. The planned work includes classroom and building improvements, roofing and selected window replacement, telecommunications upgrades, new student restrooms, a lunch shelter, playground and shade improvements, accessible paths, and parking/drop-off changes.
