The Mt. Diablo Unified School District Board meeting on September 23, 2026 included several facilities and purchasing discussions. For College Park High School, staff reviewed historical Measure C investments and ongoing needs, including visitor bleachers and a press box. The discussion was informational, with no project approval or spending vote; staff said they would investigate temporary bleacher options, assess costs and requirements, and bring information back. The district also updated the board on its review of districtwide solar systems: 46 of 60 systems were identified as nonoperational. Capital Engineering, PG&E, and Sunup are assisting with data review and repair planning, and staff are obtaining inverter-repair pricing and evaluating a contracting strategy. No solar-contract action was requested; a further update was planned for October 14.

The board approved a piggyback purchasing agreement with Downey Unified School District, contract 252618, for Apple products. The agreement itself has a $0 value and enables purchases through the contract; approximately $7 million was cited as a projected maximum based on prior spending, with individual purchases to receive separate approval. The board also held a public hearing and approved a PG&E easement of approximately 830 square feet at 2326 Bisso Lane for underground electrical infrastructure supporting bus charging. Other actions included approving a 2026–2029 tentative agreement with the Mount Diablo School Psychologist Association. No contract award for the College Park improvements or solar repairs was made at this meeting.
