Fox C-6 Board of Education Special Session - 8/25/2026

Fox C-6 Board of Education held a special session on August 25, 2026. The board approved petitions to annex Simpson Elementary and Lone Dell Elementary into the City of Arnold. The stated purpose was to improve law-enforcement coverage and response times by shifting policing of the school properties from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department to the Arnold Police Department. The change applies to the school properties only; fire and ambulance districts are unaffected. The board discussed a small increase in cost and the benefit of adding roughly a half-time school resource officer, but no dollar amount was provided. The annexation motion passed without opposition.
