The September 17, 2026 Academic/CSIP Committee meeting of Saint Joseph Schools focused on revising the high school core course catalog to clarify college and career pathways. Staff connected this work to the district’s CSIP priorities: expanding internships, client-connected and entrepreneurial opportunities, industry-recognized credentials, and college-credit coursework, with a goal of increasing graduating seniors who earn both a high school diploma and an additional credential or credit. The committee reviewed how pathway “schools,” technical core courses, and aligned electives could help students explore careers and connect coursework to community workforce needs.

Discussion covered course selection, changing pathways, prerequisites and grades, eighth-grade career exploration, work-based learning, job shadows, and student support through cohort-style learning communities. No contracts, vendors, budget allocations, purchasing decisions, procurement votes, or spending-related action items were identified.
