The Webster Groves School District Board of Education held its September 24, 2026 meeting, following a required tax-rate hearing. The board approved the 2026–27 tax rates as presented: residential at 3.6467, commercial at 4.2960, and personal property unchanged. The district estimated tax revenue of $52.8 million, compared with $52.6 million budgeted, using a 98% collection assumption; staff reported that the prior year’s actual collection rate was 96.5%. Discussion also covered assessed valuation, property-tax freezes, and potential state funding changes.

The board also discussed a proposed custodial wage adjustment, increasing the base rate from $17.09 to $17.77 per hour to address vacancies and improve competitiveness.
