Liberty Public Schools Board of Education meeting, September 15, 2026. Operations staff reported that higher-than-anticipated bond-sale premiums and investment earnings will support additional work on projects funded by the 2023 bond; the added work was not assigned a dollar amount. The South Valley Middle School roof and Lewis and Clark renovations were reported complete. The district also noted that HVAC technician vacancies may require higher-cost outsourcing. Donations included embroidered jackets valued at $850 from HighFrequency Marketing LLC for the Liberty North High School girls golf team and $559.90 in supplies from Office Depot/OfficeMax for Manor Hill Elementary; no contract award or competitive procurement was identified.
The board unanimously approved the 2026–27 early-notification retirement incentive program and a set of policy updates. It also set the tax levy at $5.5557, with operating revenue increasing while debt-service and capital-project rates remain flat. The board reviewed employee health-benefit options developed with Holmes Murphy and Sigma, including four plan choices and a 10% premium increase cap; enrollment changes are scheduled to take effect January 1, 2027. The state’s school-funding formula and the district’s revenue outlook were also discussed.
