Single Family Design Review Board - October 5, 2026

The City of Santa Barbara Single Family Design Review Board met on October 5, 2026. The board ratified the morning consent-calendar actions: project design approval for 385 Loma Media Road and an indefinite continuance with comments for 150 Cedar Lane. It approved the September 21 full-board meeting minutes; approval of the September 21 consent-meeting minutes was continued to the next full-board hearing so an absent member could review them. The board granted project design approval for 1596 Oramas Road, a third-story addition that exceeds the maximum floor-area ratio, and for 931 Carpinteria Street, an accessory dwelling unit and related work. It also approved 1350 Las Positas Road with design and detailing conditions, including revisions to stonework, trellis height, rafter spacing, and lighting. The proposal for 2411 Calle Linares, involving legalization of existing work and an ADU, was continued indefinitely pending clarification of floor-area calculations, unpermitted area, access, and exterior design. The meeting also announced advisory-board recruitment and upcoming board-member departures.
