The October 5, 2026, North Haven Planning and Zoning Commission meeting considered several land-use applications and zoning amendments. No contracts or vendor selections were made. The commission approved the town’s application to accept a small parcel at the end of Jersey Drive, intended to preserve the possibility of future road extensions. It also approved work at the Martha Culver House: an ADA-accessible ramp and patio and a small museum addition. The project is pursuing a Historic Restoration Fund grant of up to $200,000, with an existing federal HUD grant of $600,000 available as the match; the building’s restoration and accessibility work would depend on grant funding.
The commission unanimously approved a cannabis transporter and infused-beverage wholesaler zoning text amendment, as modified to require a site plan and annual submission of the required state license. It approved a special-permit modification for 10 Bernard Road allowing outdoor vehicle storage, with site-plan clarifications and conditions discussed by the board. The proposed 7-Eleven truck-fueling expansion on Washington Avenue was continued to November 9 pending traffic, lighting, and landscaping information. A proposed amendment to allow first-floor residences at 23 Maiden Lane was also continued for further legal and staff review. The 300 Elm Street applications were not heard. No procurement awards or purchasing decisions were identified.
