The Monroe Township School District Board of Education Curriculum, Co-Curricular, Athletics, and Pupil Personnel Committee met October 5, 2026. The committee reviewed updated sixth-grade career-readiness/life-literacy curriculum and the renamed Honors College Entrepreneurship course, which offers University of Delaware credit for $500. Members also discussed revisions to the kindergarten report card, college acceptance and counseling information, and the Class of 2026’s postsecondary plans. No votes on procurement or spending were recorded during the meeting.
The district described a planned contract for services with Insight Health to provide mental-health screening, crisis assessment, clearance and reentry support, and follow-up care coordination. The district said the arrangement would use funds already budgeted for related services, shifted from existing providers, and discussed it as a current-year effort; no contract amount or approval vote was stated. The district also presented chronic-absenteeism action plans for three schools, which it intends to bring to the full board for acknowledgment and approval at an upcoming meeting, and said it would seek a state grant opportunity that could help fund additional student supports.
