Albemarle County Architectural Review Board Meeting 10/05/2026

The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board met on October 5, 2026. The board reviewed a conceptual renovation for FLO Toyota’s pre-owned sales showroom, including façade and signage changes. Members discussed the proposed entrance element’s relationship to the existing building, materials, and roof drainage. The board voted to provide the applicant staff-report comments amended to invite consideration of revisions to items 1–3 and to revise the design in light of the board’s discussion; this was advisory feedback, not a contract or purchase decision.

The board approved a revised design for a self-storage facility at Airport Road and Timberwood Boulevard, subject to listed conditions and remaining site-plan revisions. It also voted to revise the prior Old Trail Village visibility determination so that development on Block 6 would no longer require ARB review. No procurement awards, spending allocations, contract amounts, or vendors were identified.
