The Burlington Planning Board’s October 1, 2026 meeting included continued public hearings on a proposed expansion and redevelopment at 85 Wilmington Road (Plaza 62), including potential restaurant uses. The board heard a third-party traffic peer-review presentation; most comments had been resolved, with five still outstanding. Discussion covered traffic and parking analyses, pedestrian and speeding-safety measures, delivery and trash operations, snow storage, lighting, landscaping, accessibility, and water infrastructure. The revised plan shows 140 parking spaces, against an estimated demand of 118 and a revised zoning minimum of 128. Residents raised concerns about traffic, neighborhood safety, parking, and construction impacts. The board took no decision on the application and voted unanimously to continue the hearings to October 15, 2026. No contract awards or purchasing decisions were identified. Separately, the meeting announced that the town had received a $75,000 state grant to plant 40 trees in the Teras ol area and noted a forthcoming public meeting about the project.
