The Delaware County Stormwater Board’s October 5, 2026 meeting covered ongoing drainage and stormwater projects. For Stony Creek Drive, the easement is being finalized and the contractor has ordered materials; the board discussed an 8-inch dual-wall plastic pipe and connecting drainage from both sides of the road. The original contract was described as just over $9,000. Work is intended to proceed when the easement is ready, with paving likely deferred until next year. The board also received updates on a contractor’s planned start this week on another stormwater improvement, a completed log-jam removal, and erosion concerns near County Road 800 South and US 35 South, where quotes for protective work were being developed and coordination with Henry County may be needed. A draft RFP involving Cone and Associates remained on the agenda without a decision, as did a $25,000 soil and water conservation funding request.
The board approved the September 8 meeting minutes and approved payment of claims totaling $33,587.43. No vote was recorded on the RFP, the $25,000 funding request, or the pending project work. The board added the Cowan Road ditch near Progress Rail and the US 35 South erosion issue to old business; the MS4 coordinator also reported upcoming facility inspections and an audit scheduled for November 18.
