Audit Committee 10/5/26

The Saint Louis Public Schools Audit Committee met on October 5, 2026. Members discussed recruiting two additional committee members and selected Amy Bulgi as committee secretary. Dr. Collins Adams agreed to continue leading the committee on an interim basis until a member with audit experience can be identified. The committee also discussed the annual audit, which is due December 31, 2026, and the need to hold another meeting before the deadline. A motion was made and seconded to approve the prior meeting minutes; the transcript does not capture a vote on that motion. Members later voted to adjourn the open session and move into closed session.

The director of compliance and internal audit reported on work to map and streamline the employee onboarding process across HR, payroll, and technology, with analysis and recommendations planned for November. The update also covered phased internal-control reviews across district departments and monitoring of prior audit corrective-action plans. No contract awards, solicitations, vendor selections, budget allocations, or other procurement activity were identified.
