The City of Reno Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board met on October 5, 2026. The board received an update on the RFP for 264 Keystone: proposals have been received and scored, and staff is preparing a report with average scores for review on November 4; staff will not recommend a preferred proposal. Pro Park began operating the Parking Gallery on September 1 and has introduced account-management software and other initial improvements. The board also reviewed the Truckee River Vision Plan and related capital priorities. Current-year RDA2 funding totals $7.2 million, including $6 million for phase one construction and design work for phases two and three; staff expects to seek next-year funding of approximately $12–15 million for phases two and three construction. Rebuilding Believe Plaza was discussed as a potential project estimated at about $20 million. The transcript also notes that 521 Lake Street was approved at a prior agency meeting for $3.1 million in TIF financing participation.

The board discussed RDA-owned properties and the potential future use of City Plaza’s parking-lot parcel, including possible due diligence and redevelopment options. It unanimously approved a motion directing staff to proceed with property-specific strategies, including evaluating potential sales, leases, transfers, retention, and future redevelopment opportunities. No new contract award or vendor selection was made during the meeting.
