Norfolk County Commissioners Meeting 9-23-2026

At its September 23, 2026 meeting, the Norfolk County Commissioners discussed several capital and procurement matters. The commissioners heard that the Presidents Golf Course irrigation system—about 50 years old—will require a major, multi-million-dollar investment (described in discussion as roughly $1 million). Design and surveying are underway, and an irrigation consultant has been hired to support the project, including bidding and contractor oversight. Facilities staff presented a capital-project update covering building-system modernization, parking lots, windows, exterior repairs, and other maintenance. The county plans to put Brookline work out to bid in early December for spring construction, and a newly purchased computerized maintenance-management system is targeted for implementation by the start of the year. The commissioners also discussed developing a five-year capital outlook for FY2028–FY2031.
