Community Corrections received approval to apply for a $15,000 SIA Foundation grant for fencing for a female recreation area. The Health Department was authorized to apply for a $40,000 Drug-Free Communities grant for youth programming addressing tobacco, nicotine, vaping, and marijuana use; no positions are tied to that request.
The commissioners approved Amendment No. 15 to the Summit Foodservice LLC contract, updating payment arrangements and rates based on population and goods and incorporating standard contractual language. Highway received approval to seek MACOG federal funding for two structurally deficient bridge replacements in the county’s capital improvement plan: Bridge 154, estimated at $3,577,383, with a $2,861,907 grant request and approximately $715,477 local match; and Bridge 314, estimated at $5,614,179, with a $4,393,423 grant request and approximately $1,220,756 local match. Both requests cover design and construction at an 80% federal share. Cambridge Systematics is involved in the initial study phase. All recorded approvals carried unanimously.
