Board of County Commissioners Meeting (October 5, 2026)

The Board of County Commissioners meeting on October 5, 2026, included an update on the About Face women’s reentry program. The program representative reported that its first group graduated from career training and that participants are working and receiving follow-up support. County grant funds helped cover housing deposits, first-month rent, and $500 in utility assistance per participant; $48,266.13 remains. Hotel furniture and beds purchased by the Elks Lodge will help furnish the house for the next group, which is expected to begin screening in November. The program also receives funding from Payne County and other fundraising. No new grant allocation was voted on.
