Bellevue’s September 30, 2026, Budget Information Session explained the proposed 2027–28 incremental budget and how residents can participate in the City Council’s decision-making. The proposal is balanced without new taxes and includes about $1.8 billion in operating expenses over two years and a $1.3 billion six-year capital program. Staff also presented scenarios for accelerating transportation infrastructure if additional revenue is authorized; no decision on that proposal had been made. Any Transportation Benefit District revenue would be restricted to transportation purposes. No contract awards, vendor selections, or procurement approvals were identified.

Capital and service investments discussed included six new parks funded through a prior levy, land for a replacement Fire Station 6, city facility maintenance, permitting improvements, transportation safety and curb management, and utility bill assistance. Council was expected to review strategic areas in October, deliberate on final recommendations in November, and adopt the budget before the end of November. The session encouraged public input at upcoming hearings and through email to the Council.
