The City of Belton Planning Commission met on October 6, 2026, and took no procurement or contract-award actions. It approved Project 26-026 for Little’s Fleet Maintenance, including rezoning to C3 Regional Commercial, a special-use permit for heavy vehicle repair, and plat approvals for a parking expansion. Staff’s conditions included bringing existing site features into compliance, verifying that stormwater detention can handle the expansion, and correcting the final plat. The applicant said the business expects to bring at least 20 jobs to Belton.

The commission also approved the development request and final plat for Project 26-029, an FCR Construction mixed-use project in the Oldtown Belton overlay, with one commissioner voting against each recorded approval. The plan proposes two-story commercial/residential buildings, with the applicant initially planning to build one; related improvements include an 8-inch water-line extension, sidewalks, and on-street parking. Discussion addressed traffic, building design, and compatibility with downtown’s character. Staff also reported that revised Unified Development Code chapters are under review and will later be brought forward for public review and comment. No procurement activity was identified.
