10/1/26 Recreation and Parks Board

The St. Mary’s County Recreation and Parks Citizens Advisory Board met on October 1, 2026. The Parks Director reported completed golf course work, including a parking-lot repair and overlay, cart-path repairs, and course aeration; a parking-lot lighting project is also underway. The Commissioners approved a new two-year lease for the College of Southern Maryland Wellness and Aquatic Center the prior month. The department continues to operate the facility, with the college paying utilities and the county responsible for repairs up to an agreed limit. No new contract awards or spending approvals were made by the board; the only motion was to adjourn.
