The City of Tampa Architectural Review Commission held a public hearing on October 7, 2026. The commission approved a Certificate of Appropriateness for case ARC-26-0000362, a proposed two-story Spanish-style single-family home at 2804 North Central Court in the Tampa Heights Historic District. The approval was based on consistency with the district’s design guidelines, including the project’s massing, neighborhood setbacks, and design, and was subject to staff review of remaining details, including door hardware, gutters and downspouts, and soffit material. Commissioners also discussed exterior window and door muntins, porch flooring, and screening for mechanical equipment. The motion passed; no project cost was stated.

The commission voted to continue case ARC-26-0000384 at 1502 Nance Avenue to the December 7, 2026 public hearing. Staff also presented a brief preservation history of architect Frederick Joseph James and Tampa’s former Free Library. No contracts, vendor awards, purchasing decisions, or other procurement activity were identified.
