The City of Green Bay Protection & Policy Committee met on September 28, 2026. The committee unanimously recommended approval of a group of alcohol-license applications and related premises changes, including new Class A and Class B licenses, a temporary premises expansion, and Noble Roots Brewing Company’s event sales application. The chair clarified that committee votes are recommendations to the Common Council, scheduled to consider them on October 6. No procurement, contract awards, or purchasing decisions were identified.
The committee also granted several appeals of operator’s-license denials, held one appeal for further consideration at its October 12 meeting, and discussed recurring confusion about conviction-disclosure questions on license applications, with staff follow-up suggested. It unanimously denied an appeal involving an excess-animal permit after hearing that two dogs had bitten a delivery driver and that the applicant had not provided further evidence or appeared. No police updates on liquor or massage establishments were reported.
