The Murray City Planning Commission met on October 1, 2026. It approved the Point at 53rd subdivision plat amendment, changing Lots 1A and 1B to Lots 2A, 2B, and 2C, by a 4–1 vote, subject to staff’s conditions. Commissioners discussed confirming adequate access to the new lots during final review. The commission also approved, unanimously, an amendment to Intermountain Health’s conditional use permit for its medical center at 5116 South State Street. The project includes approximately 539,024 square feet of new construction: a seven-story flagship cancer center, a four-story parking structure, and an expansion of the central utility plant. The parking plan adds about 665 stalls and removes 492, for a net gain of 173 and a proposed campus total of 4,954 stalls; the commission accepted shared-parking provisions supported by a utilization study, despite the total being below the code’s standard requirement of 5,442 stalls. Approval included staff’s conditions and an additional condition to preserve existing mature trees where possible.

The commission also approved prior meeting minutes and findings of fact. No public comments were made on the two development items. The transcript identifies land-use approvals for development, but no public contract awards, purchasing decisions, procurement budgets, or vendor selections.
