Oct. 1, 2026 Work Session

At its Oct. 1, 2026 work session, the Carroll County, Georgia Board of Commissioners reviewed August financial statements. Revenue was reported $261,000 above the prior-year level, with sales tax up about 3.4% and building permits up about 1.5%. SPLOST spending included a $281,000 payment for recreation-department lighting and electrical work, along with payments for the sheriff’s office, the county administration building, and assistance with the City of Whitesburg’s city hall driveway. No procurement award or spending vote was taken during the work session.
