The Fullerton School District Board of Trustees meeting was held October 13, 2026. The board approved two resolutions authorizing the lease-leaseback delivery method and the start of RFQ/RFP processes: one for a Beachwood project involving approximately 16 modular classrooms, and one for kitchen modernizations at Beachwood, Fistler, and Orange Thorp. The kitchen work was estimated at $3–4 million; the Beachwood project was described as a multimillion-dollar project. These actions authorize contractor evaluation and negotiation of a guaranteed maximum price, not a final contractor award. The board also received an informational developer-fee report: approximately $2.53 million collected and $1.42 million spent in 2025–26, including about $763,000 for the Nicholas Arc project and $450,000 for a district print shop. The residential developer fee is $5.38 per square foot. A separate $5,000 competitive grant for Richmond Elementary’s garden was announced for hands-on science learning.
The board removed proposed videography agreements with Promelli and Roano from the consent agenda for separate consideration and deferred them, with trustees requesting a broader enrollment and marketing strategy and school-by-school program information before revisiting the spending. The board approved a districtwide community-schools resolution 5–0, with no specific new spending amount stated, and gave consensus to continue developing a draft interagency partnership agreement addressing housing insecurity and family referrals, to return for a formal vote in November. In closed session, the board also approved 5–0 a workers’ compensation settlement not to exceed $54,230; this was not a procurement action.
