Lower Paxton Township historical presentation/show-and-tell meeting, October 1, 2026. Participants shared and discussed local-history materials, including an Odd Fellows ribbon dating to the 1880s, photographs of the Colonial Park area from 1938, 1956, and 1970, artifacts from Fort Gilchrist, a 1939 high-school class photograph, and an 1862 Dauphin County map. Discussion covered historic buildings, roads, towns, and changes in the township and county. The group also mentioned a possible future fundraiser involving branded pieces of salvaged Fort Gilchrist timber and a planned display about local businesses and advertisements; no purchase, contract, budget allocation, or other procurement action was identified.

The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn, which was seconded and approved by voice vote. Attendees were invited to view the artifacts and archive displays after the meeting.
