The Rockwood School District Board of Education meeting was held September 29, 2026. The board approved the September 15 meeting minutes and consent agenda items 8.02–8.33. During discussion of the consent agenda, a $5,100 donation from the Masonic Lodge to Crest View Middle School was recognized to help provide student meals. The board also considered proclamations designating October as National Bullying Prevention Month and October 12–16 as National School Lunch Week; the lunch-week proclamation was approved. No contracts, bids, vendor selections, or other procurement decisions were identified.
The board received a transportation program update, including that more than 11,500 students were registered for transportation, the district operated 98 routes, and staffing shortages left it without substitute drivers. The department described recruitment, training, safety, and staff-retention efforts; the reported prior-year bus inspection pass rate was 99.2%. The presentation was informational, with no spending action reported. The district also noted school lunch prices of $3.60 for elementary students and $3.80 for secondary students, but no budget or purchasing decision was made.
