The Palm Beach County Zoning Commission held a quasi-judicial hearing on October 1, 2026, to consider land-use applications under the Unified Land Development Code. The commission recommended approval of the East Point Country Club PUD amendment, despite public objections concerning the removal of tennis courts and a claimed recreational-use covenant; staff said a demolition permit had been issued and that the PUD continued to meet its recreation requirements. The commission also recommended approval of applications concerning Southampton PUD tree-preservation conditions, The King’s Academy, Nova Life RV Park, Walmart’s online pickup-and-delivery store expansion, and a Limestone Creek subdivision variance allowing a 30-foot rather than 40-foot right-of-way for three single-family lots. For Walmart, staff and the applicant were still working on revisions to landscape, parking, and use conditions before the matter went to the Board of County Commissioners.
For Cobblestone Square, the applicant presented requests involving zoning and development-order changes and a waiver for a proposed five-story, 181-unit project. The proposal includes workforce housing; the applicant said it had received conceptual county gap-funding approval and anticipated seeking final approval later in 2026. The commission recommended approval of the applicable items, with no action required on item 7A. No contracts, vendor selections, purchases, or other procurement actions were identified; the hearing addressed land use and development approvals.
