The City of Raymore Charter Review Commission met on September 30, 2026. Members approved the September 9 minutes unanimously and discussed how to review the charter, favoring a section-by-section approach, beginning with Article 2 and potentially continuing through Section 3.10 at the next meeting. The commission tentatively planned to meet at 6 p.m. on the first Wednesday, with meetings generally lasting 60–90 minutes, and discussed providing opportunities for public comment and advance notice of the sections under review. Staff will prepare a proposal by the next meeting for displaying explanatory materials during meetings; the discussion referenced a projector previously considered in connection with an $80,000 budget, but no purchase or spending motion was made.

The commission also agreed to use a table seating arrangement for working sessions and return to the dais for meetings that include public comment. Members discussed how staff recommendations and potential charter amendments would be reviewed, researched for legality, and potentially presented as separate ballot questions. No contracts were awarded, bids approved, or procurement decisions made.
