The Boise Airport Commission met on October 8, 2026. Airport staff reported on major capital and procurement-related work. Installation is underway for the airport’s previously purchased Mono One cloud-based parking system, including license-plate recognition and mobile payment features, with most facilities expected to be equipped before Thanksgiving; license-plate recognition at the economy lot is planned for a later phase. For the concourse and terminal improvements program, the first design-development package—primarily enabling work for the baggage-handling system—is expected to go to City Council for approval as a guaranteed maximum price package; no approval or contract award occurred at this meeting. Staff also reported that two federal grants had been awarded, though the amounts were not stated. The airlines are funding the fuel-farm project, which is progressing toward planned use next spring.

Other project updates covered runway reconstruction, apron paving, taxi-lane widening and sanitary-sewer work, demolition of the former rental-car canopy, and terminal-roof repairs. The airport finalized its purchase of the airport inn building on October 2; future use will be informed by the master plan. Staff said airline-use-and-lease negotiations remain ongoing; City Council adopted interim rates by resolution on September 29, including a formula under which airlines will cover 100% of the baggage-handling system costs. The commission approved the prior meeting’s minutes, but took no procurement or spending votes during this meeting.
