The West Linn-Wilsonville School District Long Range Planning and Bond Oversight Committee met July 15, 2026, to review property, facility-use, and bond-program updates. Staff reported that the board had authorized a purchase and sale agreement with Venture Properties for the Hofflander property for $7,925,000, with closing expected in 2027. The property is zoned residential, and the prospective buyer may pursue city land-use approvals. Bolton and Stafford have been leased to Clackamas ESD’s Heron Creek program and Embrace Preschool, respectively. The leases have a one-year initial term with up to four one-year extensions; tenants cover maintenance, upkeep, and utilities. The committee also discussed possible demolition of several unused district structures to reduce maintenance costs and safety liabilities, and a pending historic-register nomination for Bolton that could affect future use or alterations.

Bond updates covered ongoing track and turf replacements, planned security and accessibility work, a robotics facility, and other school improvements. The bond includes a $5 million allocation for capital-eligible curriculum purchases, including science and health curriculum, to reduce pressure on the general fund. Staff said the program remains on budget and current projects are on schedule; the funding estimate includes bond proceeds, premium and investment earnings, and a state grant. On construction oversight, staff described payment problems involving a general contractor on the Frog Pond project, reported no material cost impact to taxpayers, and said the district is considering additional subcontractor and supplier payment certifications for future projects. Staff also expected to finalize a contract to complete outstanding work at A Creek. The committee approved prior meeting minutes by consensus and provided feedback on bond reporting and public communications; no new contract award or procurement vote was recorded.
