At the September 16, 2026 Roseburg Schools Board meeting, the board unanimously approved naming the Roseburg High School athletic complex the Seven Feathers Sports Complex under a sponsorship agreement with the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians. The agreement provides $500,000 over 10 years—$40,000 annually—to support athletics and academics. The board also approved moving forward with RNW Engineering for design and engineering services costing $253,690, to be paid through the Renew America Schools grant, subject to Oregon Department of Education approval. Facilities discussions covered needed maintenance and upgrades, including more than $1 million in work completed or undertaken this year and a planned RHS camera-and-server upgrade. A community facilities advisory committee recommended developing a campus-consolidation strategy and planning for multiple future bond measures; those recommendations were presented for consideration, not adopted by the board. The superintendent reported substantial long-term facility needs, while the finance committee discussed enrollment, pension costs, and expiring pension obligation bonds.
Other reports covered school performance, athletics, staffing, and the annual report on integrated programs. Reported grant budgets included more than $5.4 million for the Student Investment Account, about $97,000 for Perkins CTE, and about $18,000 for the Early Indicator and Intervention System. The board also approved several policies for first reading and adopted an immigration-enforcement policy. No other contract awards or procurement votes were clearly identified.
