At the July 6, 2026, Lebanon Community School District Board meeting, district staff reported that they had reapplied for a Department of Justice School Violence Prevention grant to continue school-safety work, including emergency alert systems and additional speakers. The conditional project budget is $670,000: $500,000 would come from the grant and $170,000 from district funds; the district expects to learn the grant decision in November.
