The Lincoln County School District Board of Directors’ retreat on August 24, 2026, included approval of a five-year copier lease with Solutions Yes, an Oregon-based vendor the district has used since 2017. The lease was priced through the Omnia cooperative purchasing contract, which the board was told had already been competitively bid. The agreement adds $1,364 per month ($16,368 annually; approximately $81,000 over five years); the district plans to install the machines over winter break and add ID readers for staff printing. The board approved the contract motion. The board also considered a motion to accept Zone 1 Director Mitch Carson’s resignation, declare the seat vacant, and direct the board secretary to begin the interim appointment process; the transcript records a call for votes but not the vote result.
The retreat’s remaining discussion focused on board governance and district improvement priorities, including student achievement, attendance, CTE access, family engagement, facilities and bond completion, and connecting spending to student outcomes. Staff discussed possible resource shifts to support schools with attendance challenges and the difficulty of tracking program-level costs, but no additional procurement decisions or spending motions were identified.
