Body
City of Longmont Colorado
Date
September 22, 2026
Jurisdiction
State & Local
The City of Longmont Planning and Zoning Commission met on September 23, 2026. The commission considered a conditional secondary-use site plan for Avis vehicle sales and rental at 206 South Main Street. Staff found the application met the review criteria; discussion covered traffic near the planned transit center, pedestrian safety, landscaping compliance, and stormwater runoff toward the St. Vrain Greenway. The commission unanimously approved a recommendation to adopt the site plan with the condition that rental-car parking, staging, and storage be east of the main building and not adjacent to Main Street, with no vehicle or equipment displays directly adjacent to Main Street. The item will be forwarded to City Council for action; the applicant also agreed to raise drainage questions with Council.
No procurement activity was identified: the meeting addressed land-use approval rather than purchasing, contracting, or budget decisions. The Planning Director previewed potential code-amendment discussions for the October 21 meeting, including residential zoning districts and expanded contractor-office uses, and noted that board and commission applications are open through October 16.
