Plan Commission (Sept. 29, 2026)

The City Planning Commission met on September 29, 2026, and approved with conditions three subdivision plats: Callan Village Addition Phase Four (82 single-family lots), Willow Bend Addition Part Two Phase One (84 single-family lots), and an amended preliminary plat for the Lariat Addition’s multifamily and commercial development. The commission also voted to continue the public hearing on a proposed PUD for The Pines at Waco, a 50-unit duplex project, so the applicant could address a power-line easement and related design issues.

The commission recommended approval of land-use and zoning changes for properties at 3116 Robinson Drive, 1328 Harrison Avenue, 9095 China Spring Road, 2024 North Fourth Street, and 2001 Gurley Lane, including proposals for commercial, office, and multifamily uses. These actions are recommendations to City Council, which is scheduled to hold public hearings on the items October 20. The commission also elected Nate Embry as chair and Meg Salome as vice chair for the 2026–27 term. No contracts, vendor selections, procurement awards, or budget allocations were discussed.
