The FARGODOME Authority meeting for the City of Fargo was held September 29, 2026. The board reviewed property-insurance renewal options, including Zurich’s offer of a 5% rate decrease or a two-year rate lock, and discussed whether to reduce the current $25 million flood limit. Travelers’ indication was reportedly 10–15% lower but offered a maximum $10 million flood limit. No renewal or flood-limit decision was made; staff will seek side-by-side pricing and guidance on any city requirements, with a decision targeted for the November meeting or potentially December. K&K projected a 5% increase for excess coverage and scheduled a loss-control visit.
The board also acted on capital purchases. For the LED lighting and concourse-signage project, bids brought the total project estimate to about $5.2 million, roughly $700,000 below the previously approved $5.9 million budget. Border Construction submitted the low general-contractor bid at $710,000, and Superior Electric of Fargo was selected for the electrical bid and alternates; the board approved the building/finance report by roll-call vote. Separately, the board unanimously authorized advancing the purchase order for the building’s existing wireless system replacement: High Point’s quote had risen from about $128,000 to $147,500, with another increase expected. The purchase will use existing capital-budget funds, with no additional appropriation, and is intended to avoid an estimated $50,000 or more in further cost increases. Turf replacement options for 2027 were discussed but not decided. Year-to-date through August, the FARGODOME reported a $109,000 surplus versus a budgeted $109,000 deficit.
