Klamath County Board of County Commissioners administrative meeting, September 29, 2026. The board approved a resolution authorizing the County Building Codes Division to process owner-occupied electrical permit applications for certain homes held in revocable living trusts, allowing applicants to document the trust rather than transfer the property into an individual’s name. The board did not approve a public-records-request fee waiver; the discussion indicated that the two-member board could not approve it without both members’ support. Staff also discussed appointing a building-code hearing officer through a process involving board review, but no appointment was made.

US Bank presented an update on the county’s approximately $85 million pension portfolio and proposed revising its investment policy statement and strategic allocation from 65% to 55% growth assets to target a 6.5% expected return with lower volatility. The board made no allocation decision and asked staff to bring the matter back. On a 60-foot strip near Kings Bay, commissioners favored pursuing a utility easement and then selling the property, rather than dedicating it as public right-of-way; staff noted that survey-related costs could be addressed through the sale. No contract awards, competitive solicitations, or other procurement approvals were identified.
