# September 29, 2026 - Part Two

**Body:** Warren County Board of Commissioners
**Date:** September 28, 2026
**Jurisdiction:** SLED

At its September 29, 2026 meeting, the Warren County Board of Commissioners continued a public zoning hearing on an application concerning Blue Rock’s approximately 30-acre property. The applicant sought a planned-unit-development zoning arrangement for a construction-company support site, including equipment and materials storage and a shop for welding, machine work, and repairs. He said the site would not include an asphalt or concrete plant or rock crushing. Commissioners and speakers discussed the property’s current use, the applicant’s prior zoning communications, and proposed mitigation such as a dust-controlled driveway, screening and buffers, and limits on site activity.

Union Township representatives and nearby residents raised concerns about dust, noise, truck traffic, road and bicycle safety, and possible future expansion; the applicant argued the proposal would bring existing activities indoors and align with Lebanon’s planning for the area. RPC staff had recommended approval subject to conditions, but its executive committee had voted against that recommendation. The commissioners took no final zoning action: a motion to continue the hearing in progress passed on a unanimous roll call, with further public testimony and deliberation to follow. No procurement, contract award, or spending decision was identified.
